Sizing Cable

From the Autodesk App Store:

Description

Have you ever searched for a tool that can do all Cable Sizing Design by one click?

This application can do this task and much more.

First - Select Distribution Board in Check List.

Second – you can select Custom Cable Sizing or leave the selection as Default Circuit Sizing

- If you select Custom Cable Sizing you will be able to enter the following value

Load Type
Circuit MCB Breaker Rating (must be a Number “integer”)
Wire Size
Wire ECC

Third - Then press the Ok button.

The application will add the following parameter to the project:

- Cable ECC

Cable main (for feeder cable)
Cable number (number of Run)
Cable rating (Ampacity for Cable without derating factor)
Cable size
Cable type
Cable VD (voltage drop)

For Electrical Switchboard the application will do cable sizing for selected panels based on predefined values as the following:

Main Circuit Breaker will be sized based on Panel TCL (KVA)
Main Cable Feeder and number of Cable Run will be sized based on Panel TCL (KVA)
Cable Size for the outgoing Circuit will be sized based on Panel TCL (KVA) and Cable Length (Meter)

Notes:

The app will not size any circuit with a load greater than 600 KVA or cable length greater than 200 Meter

For Electrical Branch Board Option 1 “Default Circuit sizing” the application will do Cable Sizing for selected Panels based on predefined values as the following:

Main Circuit Breaker will be sized based on Panel TCL (KVA)
Main Cable Feeder will be sized based on Panel TCL (KVA)
Cable Size for outgoing Circuit will be sized based on Circuit Load Classification
Cable ECC for outgoing Circuit will be sized based on Circuit Load Classification

For Electrical Branch Board Option 2 “Custom Circuit Sizing” the application will do Cable Sizing for selected Panels based on the values entered by the user.
