7 New Prospect Features from Iris VR Released in Q1

From the Iris VR website:

In Case You Missed It: 7 New Prospect Features Released in Q1

Last quarter we released some major Prospect features and improvements that help you collaborate with team members and clients from anywhere in the world. We’ve also improved your VR toolkit and expanded into the world of FBX.

Check out these highlights from the past quarter.

Multiuser Meetings

Meet with 11 of your colleagues or clients in one virtual environment regardless of physical location. Take your entire team on one cohesive walkthrough with the Gather and Go-to tools to keep everyone together. With shared visuals and audio in VR, you can discuss problem areas or communicate your design vision to make your process easier and more productive. Continue with all of the Prospect features that you use in your individual virtual experience, only now any change to sun settings, new annotation, flagged element, etc. will be seen by the rest of your team. Learn how to setup Multiuser Meetings in Prospect.

Free Prospect Viewer

Guests with their own HTC Vive or Oculus Rift can join your Multiuser Meetings in VR without an account. All they need to do is download the Prospect Viewer.

FBX Support

Models made in 3DS Max, Maya, Navisworks, and more can now be exported as an FBX file and viewed in VR with Prospect.

Eraser Tool

You can now easily erase mistakes made while annotating your 3D model in VR - including markups created with both the Brush and Callout tools that are projected onto walls and far distances or hand-drawn. This ensures your notes are always clear and correct.

Enhanced Glass Settings

You now have the option to enable or disable Enhanced Glass. When this option is enabled, Prospect automatically detects glass and styles it to appear more realistic.

Annotation Smoothing

Annotations are now automatically smoothed out so that they’re easier to read.

Custom Callouts

You can customize your callouts as you mark different objects in the distance. Change the color, thickness, and size of your callouts while in VR.

Be sure to update to Prospect 2.0 or start a free trial today so that you can use these new features in your design meetings or client reviews.
