(To get the latest app version for other Autodesk® Revit® releases, visit  https://rv-boost.com/revit-plugins/rv-batch-transmit/)

Does it take you hours or even days to manually export lots of Revit models to RVT, NWC & IFC files? It doesn’t have to be this way!

With RV BatchTransmit, you can define your export settings just once, list all models you need to issue, click a single button, and then become free to do something else while Revit steadily produces all required files for you. Follow simple steps in our video below to make the model issue process truly automatic!

Gathered here for your convenience are the Autodesk-authored add-ins for Revit 2017. As add-ins become available, links will be added to the items. Known or assumed discontinued items are shown in gray.

The following add-ins appeared in the 2016 list but have been removed here for the reasons listed below:
  • AWWA Pump and Valve Content ₁
  • CIS/2 Import/Export ₂
  • Compare Models ₃
  • Composite Design ₃
  • Excel Based Model Generation ₃
  • Frame Generator ₃
  • Grids Generator ₃
  • Revit Server Standalone Installer ₂
  • SDNF Import/Export ₂
  • Timber Framing ₃
  • US Structural Content Extension ₁

₁ Not released for Revit 2016; content, no update release required
₂ Not released for Revit 2016; assumed discontinued
₃ Discontinued: rolled into Extensions for Autodesk Revit 2016

New to the list for 2017 are Steel Connections for Autodesk Revit 2017 and LIVE Viewer.

It also looks as though Autodesk may be moving away from the Autodesk App Store to Autodesk Account for subscription add-ins, with the 2017 versions of Batch Print, DBLink, Model Review, Space Naming Utility, eTransmit,a nd more migrating to Autodesk Account.

Speaking of Autodesk Account, Luke Johnson posted handy instructions for downloading subscription enhancements on his What Revit Wants blog. Please note though, as relates to the release year of Revit, that it's not quite as cut and dry as Johnson indicates – our advice is to mix and match his suggestions. Read the article here.

Revit 2016 Product Enhancements from Autodesk (Update #9)

Originally published on 7/9/2015.

Probably like many of you, I've been patiently waiting for the Autodesk Revit subscription enhancements to drop under Product Enhancements on Autodesk Account. Being curious as to the seeming delay, I did a little digging today and learned that Revit Extensions for Revit 2016 has already been released, but, for some reason, under Product Updates rather than Product Enhancements.

It seems to me that there are now at least 5 places to check for Revit 2016 product enhancements authored by Autodesk:
  1. Autodesk Account » Product Updates
  2. Autodesk Account » Product Enhancements
  3. Autodesk App Store » Revit » Autodesk
  4. BIM Interoperability Tools
  5. Individual product websites, i.e.: dynamobim.org, formit360.autodesk.com. etc.

I thought it might be useful to the readership to have a single reference resource for all the Revit 2016 enhancements offered by Autodesk, hence this post. I'll try to keep it updated as more information becomes available.

For ease of access to this and future posts like this, I've placed a hotlinked image in the right sidebar:

For the first time, for those looking for a specific app, I'm including add-ins that were available for the previous version that are not yet available for the current release. Known discontinued add-ins are shown with grey text.

I plan to use this format for the future annual releases of Revit too. I hope you find this approach helpful. Please drop me a line if you have feedback, or if you have info on missing or discontinued add-ins.

eTransmit for Autodesk Revit 2014

With eTransmit for Autodesk® Revit® 2014 software products, you can copy a Revit model and dependent files to a single folder for Internet transmission. You can transmit any model that has been upgraded to Revit Release 2012 or later and saved.

With eTransmit for Autodesk Revit, you can:
  • Copy and detach a Revit model and associated files to a single folder for internet transmission. This removes the typical error messages when you copy central files using the operating system.
  • Locate dependent files automatically and include them in the transmittal folder, helping to reduce the possibility of error. All dependent files are automatically converted to use relative paths so the dependent files can be located by the model.
  • Choose to include related dependent files such as linked Revit models, CAD files, DWF™ markups, decal images, and external keynote files. You can transmit any Revit (.rvt) model that has been upgraded to be compatible with a Revit 2012 software product or later.
  • Choose to Upgrade the Revit (.rvt) model and linked models to the current release.
  • Choose to remove unused families, materials, and other objects from the Revit projects to reduce file size.
  • Transmit models that are using file-based worksharing or server-based worksharing. eTransmit for Revit can also work with non-workshared Revit models.

This add-in may be downloaded from the Autodesk Subscription website.
