Define Clash Tests for Navisworks – Import Clash Tests from Excel

From the Autodesk App Store:

Instead of defining Autodesk® Navisworks® clash tests manually, one by one, this app automatically defines Navisworks clash tests from a Clash Matrix CSV file.

A clash Matrix Excel file should be a part of your company's standards, and should be utilized for your projects.

If two test names in the Excel file match the defined Navisworks search set names, it creates a clash test for you. You can define the clash tolerance by editing the value between a column and a row in the Excel template file provided with the app.

Sales Plan Add-In – Create Hundreds of Sales Plan Sheets in Minutes

From the Autodesk App Store:

This add-in allows you to create hundreds of sales plans in a couple of minutes.

Usually, you create your sheet one by one by choosing a Titleblock and then dragging your views, your schedule, your legend, etc... It can take days to create your plans.

With this add-in, you automate all those tedious tasks, You don't need to create all the views of your apartments, you only need a filter parameter for all rooms on each apartment.

The add-in takes just one plan as a model (which contains an apartment view, a level view and a schedule for example) and reproduce the same scheme for all the apartments you want in your model.

Key features:
  • Produces a large number of sales plans according to a model you created
  • Create the views off all the apartments you choose and the corresponding level views
  • Works with linked project
  • Reproduce the Titleblock you use
  • Reproduce the templates of the model views
  • If you put a schedule filter on the parameter, the add-in will produce all the schedules for all the apartments and add them to all your plans
  • You can add a legend view as well

The model you create with an apartment view,
a level view and eventually a schedule

QuickAccessMenu

From the Autodesk App Store:

Register frequently used icon menu in a separate window.

Arrange your favorite icons.

You can do a quick job with QuickAccessMenu.

RVT.Calc – Automatic Calculation of Numerical Parameters at the Element Level

From the Autodesk App Store:

How can I calculate parameter values based on formulas in Autodesk® Revit®? Well, with on-board tools, this only works in tables. Here, formulas can be stored, but the calculated values are not available at the element in the model.

Of course, there are other approaches like Dynamo, which are complex for the normal user.

So, how do they ensure that values in the model that are based on calculations follow the changes in the model, and that the data in the model is always consistent?

The idea of our add-in Rvt.Calc is the automatic calculation of numerical parameters in Revit. The calculations are based on setting parameter calculation configurations to calculate Autodesk Revit parameters using other parameters or mathematical equations.

The configuration is created once per project and can be imported/exported to other projects. The calculation process is performed in the background while elements are being edited or created. Thus, consistent metainformation can be ensured at any time, even in central models.

If a designer changes an element in Revit, the formulas stored for this are automatically executed and the relevant parameter values of the element are updated.

All labels etc. based on these parameters are immediately updated, so all information in the model is consistent!

Free BIM 360 Issues for Navisworks

From the Autodesk App Store:

Throughout all phases of the project multidisciplinary team members need to collaborate and communicate with each other. There are multiple tools and technologies that are used to facilitate those interactions from informal / unstructured mechanisms (e.g. phone calls, emails, f2f meetings) through to highly structured and contractual systems  (e.g. cost, change or bid management systems). Most project teams need a system that provides structured, audited and controlled interactions between team members for tracking formal but not contractual interactions, typically referred to as an issue tracking system. 'Issues' can comprise questions, clarifications, notifications and alerts across anyone in the project team. The issue tracking system provides a mechanism to document issues, assign responsibility and view the status of how the issue resolution is progressing.

Frequently the project participant that is responding to or raising an issue will be a persona that is creating or consuming data in a desktop product such as Autodesk® Navisworks®. This persona is likely to receive issues that have been created by other project participants that need clarity on the design content that has been created, and to collaborate with other project team members as they develop their design and fabrication content. They may also use issues to track and resolve problems relating to clash and coordination problems or changes to the project.

Revizto is a real-time, 3D model-based issue tracking software for AEC teams that brings ease-of-use and precision to collaboration and BIM project coordination.

The simple yet powerful Revizto Issue Tracker is a cloud-based single source-of-truth platform for managing all BIM project activities in real-time. The issues created in Revizto reside within the X, Y, Z coordinates and not on a single sheet or model which provides an intelligent connection across multiple views and platforms.

Revizto adds a new dimension to BIM that enables teams to have a multidimensional issue tracking and coordination hub, instantly allowing project members to communicate accountability and address challenges in real-time through the whole project lifecycle, to include project inception, design, construction, and operation.

The Documents is a brand new section of the Revizto app. It provides direct access to project files stored on major CDEs like Autodesk® BIM 360®, so users can work with their live documentation seamlessly from inside Revizto:
  • View files from BIM 360 inside Revizto
  • Add your sheets in PDF format from BIM360 docs and teams to Revizto 2D module
  • Attach documents to issues
  • Link sheets to CDE-hosted PDFs to see the actual version with no need to re-export
