MONTREAL, January 10th 2022 – StrucSoft Solutions | Graitec group, creators of MWF (or Metal Wood Framer) a Revit®-based BIM framing solution that allows users to automate Revit walls, floors, ceilings, and trusses for light gauge steel and wood, has released their newest product FrameLab.

StrucSoft Solutions is a Canadian-based software developer, dedicated to the prefab manufacturing and offsite construction sectors within the AEC industry. The company develops a suite of light gauge steel and wood framing software to model, coordinate, engineer, and manufacture directly within the Autodesk Revit® environment. StrucSoft announced today the newest launch in their suite of solutions, FrameLab.

FrameLab allows users to create, coordinate and track critical framing areas in order to avoid clashes and rework in the future – helping teams save time, costs and avoid costly rework. 

In collaboration with PCL Construction, StrucSoft identified critical framing issues around openings as a challenge in the current market.

hsbcad use native Autodesk Revit structural members and apply complex tools through extended Revit families. Some of the toolset includes dovetail, tenon, slots, drills, convex/concave, chamfer and much more. Autodesk Revit commands such as split, join, stretch, and cut are reactive and can still be applied to structural members.

Utilising native edges, surfaces and structural members, hsbTimber for Autodesk Revit will create a framed result for walls, floors, and roofs with unique intelligent positioning of numbers on the structural members.

All structural members and tools support customizable basic shop drawings and every part of the construction can be exported to a required format using the hsbcad exporter for CNC information.

  2. When in a work sharing environment, it is imperative that users be on different worksets. 
  3. The whole family package has been updated

1. Place Ladder Joins
Now when a connecting wall falls in between two studs in a T intersection, the Place Ladder Join will allow for the placement of horizontal members in a panel connecting to the intersecting wall. This option is available under the Tools menu in MWF Pro Wood and MWF Pro Suite.
