Free Department Area Calculator

Description

This app allows the summarizing of areas for rooms that belong to one department. The summed area is then written back to rooms into the desired parameter. Because of this, it is possible to show in plans the areas of departments with standard Autodesk® Revit® tags. Values are updated when the script is restarted. Rooms are grouped by the same values of the desired parameter.

1. Group rooms that belong to the same department by writing the same value into the desired parameter. For instance, write “Apartment 01” into the “Department” parameter.
2. Run script. In “Group by:” choose Department parameter. In “Write to:” choose your custom parameter, for instance, “Department Area”. Click on “OK”.
3. Areas of Departments will be calculated and written to each room into the “Department Area” parameter.
4. You can create a room tag and use it to tag one of the rooms in order to show on plans the areas of departments.

Free EXNO – Calculate the Needed Sound Insulation of Windows (to German Standards)

EXNO stands for “Exterior Noise”. It is an Autodesk® Revit® plugin to evaluate the quality of sound insulation of windows according to German Standard DIN 4109:2016-07 “Sound Insulation in Buildings”.

Based on an Architectural Revit model, with the definition of Room types, Exterior Walls, the noise level and used ventilator, the sound insulation value, and the sound insulation class of Windows can be calculated, to inform the Architect about the required quality of Windows in terms of noise protection.

Results can be exported to Excel and directly visualized in several views. In addition, EXNO evaluates the Sound Insulation Class according to VDI 2719.

Water System Calculations Add-in

This is a TRIAL app. After installation, when Autodesk® Revit® is started, the user will be asked to activate the trial. To activate the trial, the user must obtain an activation code, which can be generated on our website (clicking the Activate button directly in the WCS app will take the user to the activation web form). The user must submit first name, last name, and email to which the activation code will be sent.

Trial means fully functional application for 30 days after the activation.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In general, "Water System Calculations" is providing three key features:
1. Conducts flow calculations according to DIN 1988-W308 norm, frequently used in Europe.
The application adds user defined flow calculations for Domestic Water System into Revit Mechanical Settings (under Pipe Settings / Calculation / Flow / Calculation Method), which uses Fixture Units (defined in plumbing fixtures families) to calculate water flow.

2. Calculates pressure loss on critical path and shows critical path for Domestic Water System or Hydrant System
One major and unique feature is critical path finder. It will find the critical path with the highest pressure drop combined of friction and elevation losses along the path. The final result is total pressure drop. Revit finds the critical path as well, but it does not take elevation into account.

Design Master Electrical RT Add-in for Revit

Design Master Electrical RT adds electrical calculations to Autodesk® Revit® MEP.

Feeder Sizing: Feeders are size automatically based upon the upstream overcurrent protection for a piece of electrical equipment. You have complete control of the chosen feeder size and can override it when necessary.

Fault Calculations: Available fault current is calculated for each piece of electrical equipment. The calculated fault current can be used to set the AIC rating for the device.

Voltage Drop Calculations: The voltage drop is calculated between each piece of electrical equipment. Feeders that exceed the maximum 3% voltage drop allowed can be easily resized.

Arc-Flash Calculations: Arc-flash calculations are performed at each piece of electrical equipment. An arc-flash schedule can be created that displays the calculated values. Arc-flash warning labels can be printed to be put on devices in the field.
