R2R - Transfer Offsets — Transfer Bar Offsets to Robot Structural Analysis

From the Autodesk App Store:

Description

R2R - Transfer Bar Offsets is a Revit add-in to determine bar offsets in Autodesk® Revit® Analytical Model and transfer those offsets to Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis.

While building the structural model in Revit, due to the structure geometry, Analytical elements get shifted from their original location and they become offsetted. Its when Structural Beams and Structural Columns do not frame into the center of the columns or grids. This means a beam’s centerline does not connect with the column’s center point.

It causes a difference between the physical model and the analytical model. This difference must be calculated and defined in the Robot in order to get the correct results.

Because when you transfer the Analytical Model to the Robot Structural Analysis, the offsets are not sent to Robot and this effects Analysis results. Moreover calculating each elements’ offset and manually defining it in a Robot is very time consuming and prone to errors.

But R2R Offsets add-in will help you out. It will compare all beams and columns with their analytical pairs, determine the offsets and enable you to transfer them to Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis.
