Auto Join – Join Multiple Elements Using Rules, and Unjoin or Cut Multiple Elements

The first release of Q'Apps for Autodesk® Revit® has the Auto Join plugin.

The Auto Join plugin features:

1. Join multi-elements according to the priority order that users want, by following the rules added.
2. The user sets the rules for the first run of the plugin. After that, the Auto Join plugin will automatically use the rules set up during the previous run.
3. Unjoin multi-elements.
4. Cut selected elements by other elements.

planBIM – Visually Classify Elements According to LOD, LOI, and LOA

From the Autodesk App Store:

This plugin enables Autodesk® Revit® users to visually classify elements inside their models according to Level of Detail (LOD), Level of Information (LOI) and Level of accuracy (LOA) as per the Scope defined in planBIM (https://app.planbim.io).

The user can view the LOD Specification for a specific category in Revit simply by clicking on a relevant element in the model space. The specification gives an idea of the LOD, LOI, LOA as well as the parameters that need to be included in the Revit element. There is also functionality to associate a family or family type of selected element to a scope specified in planBIM. Using this plugin, the BIM team can stay on top of which elements have been modelled and at which LOD in a Revit file.

Since this app retrieves data from planBIM, the user must have an account on the app and create a project and then login into the planBIM plugin in Revit. A user can only associate the Scope to the Revit families or family types if they have the access level of an 'Editor' or a 'Manager' of the project in the app.

Free Room Tools

CCpdf

From the Autodesk App Store:

One of the main features of CCpdf includes automatic selection of sheet size. This function will make sure that your printed sheets paper sizes will always correspond to the sheet dimensions in Autodesk® Revit® and also that a scale used in a view will be preserved.

Another major feature allows you to merge all selected sheets into a single .pdf document.

"Options, Appearance and Hidden Line Views - Remove Lines Using" are settings taken from a standard Revit printing dialog window.

Custom filenames solution allows you to compose filenames from an optional text and parameters available in the project. Available sheet parameters as well as "Project Information" parameters can be added from a scroll menu that will show up after clicking on a blue arrow symbol.

All sheets can be filtered based on parameters in a scroll menu. The value input textbox also consists of a scrolling panel that shows you values of the specified parameter for all sheets. Filtering is much easier with this additional feature.

Sheets selection is user-friendly and implements simple rules well known from basic Windows workspace. For a single selection just click on the row. For multiple selections use Ctrl + click (this will add sheets to the selection one by one) or Shift + click (which will add all sheets within the first and second selection). You can also select all by checking the main checkbox in the column header.

LevelAutoSet – Set Levels of Elements by Proximity Criteria

With this addin you will be able to set levels of elements by proximity criteria while keeping them at the current spatial position. It will deal with almost all elements such as walls, floors, roofs, railings, ceilings, conduits, ducts, pipes, cable trays, stairs, family instances like beams, pillars, etc...

This Addin will not be able to set the level if the reference level is set to workplane and it can't be changed manually.

Briefcase – Attach Any Type of Document to a Revit File

Use the Configurator to search the AGC database for the right product and then insert exterior or interior glass right in the project you are working on. You can choose which properties to use for filtering and then create a family type with all BIM properties for this product.

For interior glass you can also choose from catalogue colours of Lacobel and Matelac or use RAL sampler.

The database you work with is synchronized with the Cloud, so the data is always up-to-date.

Free Get Linked Project Base Point and Survey Point

Shows the location and coordinates of the Project Base Point in a linked model.

Also works with Linked Survey Points.

This allows you to quickly check if all your models are correctly located.

Managing a project with multiple linked models can be a real mess. Previously, there was no easy way in Autodesk® Revit® to see if a linked model's Project Base Point was matching with your model's Project Base Point. Also, it was not possible to see a linked project's coordinates.

Now, it is possible using this tool!

You just need 2 clicks to use this add-in :

• Start the add-in (2 commands: "Get linked Project Base Point" or "Get linked Survey Point")
• Click on the desired Revit link instance

Roundup – For May 20-26, 2019, New and Updated Revit-Related Add-Ins on the Autodesk App Store

The week of May 20, 2018 saw 4 new Revit-related add-ins published on the Autodesk App Store, 3 for Revit and 1 for Navisworks. Another 30 were updated.

As for apparent false updates, serial spammer PROISAC-BIM-VDC accounted for nearly 2/3. 😑
