The Week That Was in Revit Add-ons for Jan 7-13, 2019

We mentioned in our recent year-in-review article our disappointment with our drop-off from the previous year, and our commitment to getting our post count back to 2017 levels, and, by extension, increasing our coverage of Dynamo and webinars. Two weeks into 2019 and, as you'll see below, we're happy to report that we're on track in the (very) early going to accomplish these goals.

Revit

New

From the Autodesk App Store, we posted about Ingrid Cloud, for smart wind simulations, and the free and self-explanatory add-ins ON / OFF CAD Imported Drawings and Schedule To Excel.

From around the Internet, we posted about Kinship, the content management offering that we'd literally been waiting for years to come out of private Beta, and PropertyWizard Beta, for adding formulas to project parameters.

Updated

From the App Store, we posted about Dynamic Quantities v2.0.0.

For additional App Store updates not mentioned here, see our latest roundup.

From around the Internet, we caught up with a recent spate of updates from Ideate Software:

Free Webinars

Dynamo

New

We posted about the open source CrossPlatform Repo, for developing for Revit/Dynamo and Rhino/Grasshopper from a single code base, Free EvolveLAB Dynamo Scripts, free Dynamo scripts from StrucSoft SolutionsOpen Sheets by View or Element, and the-Saurus, auto-complete for Dynamo using machine learning.

Updated

We posted about Clockwork for Dynamo v1.33.0 & 2.1.1.

Navisworks

From IrisVR, we re-posted Navisworks to Google Cardboard: How to View Clashes in VR.

Miscellaneous

Much like pyRevit, another application we want to cover more this year is TestFit, the rapid test fit software. We got off to a good start with their most recent update, TestFit v1.009, which includes geo-located shadow studies.
